A quick follow-up to my earlier post, Bird Watching: My dog enjoys bird watching as well. Here is a picture of Phoebe today:

Phoebe is the first dog I have had and is terrific. She is a rescue – a lab/boxer mix, we were told. She is between three and four years old. She is usually a couch potato at home and an energetic, wrestling, ankle-biting, head-bopping sprinter at the dog park. Phoebe is always listening to what we say – if you say “shower” accidentally, she puts her head down, tucks her tail between her legs, and leaves the room; if you say “park,” “walk,” “treat,” “do you want,” or “daycare,” she might leap in the air with excitement.
