Writing as Curation
All writers are creators. Some are curators.
Chaos
Easy access to information is a blessing and a burden:
- Too much information neither forms nor informs; it inundates and overwhelms.
- Inaccurate (unreliable or false) information also misleads.
Clarity
Paradoxically, the solution is more information – a meta-information that stands apart because it organizes and orders.
Meaning-Makers: Gurus and Writers
Gurus aren’t just mystics who seam the seen and unseen; they are also scribes who make meaning out of a murky morass. (Example: Moses.)
Similarly, writers are world-makers who create a cosmos ex nihilo; they are also content-creators who create meaning by compiling and curating useful resources.
