Family Tree

As part of your client intake, have the client complete a family tree.

The family tree should include grandparents through first cousins.

A family tree helps you know who has default inheritance rights under the intestacy statute. It is also useful when probating a will or administering an intestate’s estate. (New York provides a Family Tree form for estate administration.)
