Annual Window Guard Notice

NYC Administrative Code § 17-123(b) imposes on landlords a duty to deliver an annual window guard notice inquiring whether a child lives in the apartment.

Annual Lead Paint Notice

Housing Maintenance Code § 27-2056.4(e)(1) imposes on landlords of multiple dwellings erected before January 1, 1968 the duty to deliver an annual lead paint notice inquiring whether a child lives in the apartment. Landlords must send this noice no earlier than January 1st and no later than January 16th.[^Housing Maintenance Code § 27-2056.4(e)(1)]

Housing Maintenance Code § 27-2056.4(e)(1) states that the annual lead paint notice “shall be in English and Spanish.” But the Department of Housing’s form is just in English.

Housing Maintenance Code § 27-2056.4(e)(2)(iv) allows the notice to be delivered in conjunction with the annual notice for window guards.
